About 1,500 wines from 23 countries were tasted and evaluated at the Hilton Tokyo by an internationally top-class jury under the guidance of Steven Spurrier, a famous British wine critic. One of the rare gold medals was conquered by "Grüner Veltliner Alte Reben 2002" from the Jurtschitsch estate: an expressive wine rich in substance with balance and fruit from grapes deriving from about 45 year-old vines; the wine displays everything that the vines have learned in more than 4 decades.
