GrüVe ® - the Grüner Veltliner Original
It is indeed an "Evergreen": already in its 21st edition the GrüVe from the family-run Jurtschitsch wine-estate presents itself this year. The GrüVe 2007 fascinates with cool flavours of fruit, followed by spicy notes and a refreshing final note.
Ode to the Bohemian
Professor Christian Ludwig Attersee has perfectly portrayed the characteristics of this year’s vintage on the label, which seems like an ode to the bohemian: like a pleasurable alliance of sensuality, creativity and dissipated hedonism. Characteristically the painting bears the title "GrüVe -Dance".
It survives Wine Fashions and Fashion Wines
Since 1987 the Jurtschitsch family has been calling the lightest and firmest Veltliner of each vintage "GrüVe". And every year a new label designed by the Austrian artist Professor Christian Ludwig Attersee decorates the bottle. It is amazing that the GrüVe has been a bestseller for more than two decades now and has survived a lot of wine fashions and fashion wines.
International White Wine Boom
In the middle of the 80ies extremely dry and acid-based "summer wines" were asked for, the GrüVe fitted exactly the zeitgeist. Then barrique white wines were in fashion followed by the red wine boom. Despite these cross currents, the GrüVe has more fans than ever today. And the next white wine boom is already on its way now. “So further success is guaranteed to the GrüVe ", Karl Jurtschitsch expresses his satisfaction.
