Glittering Results 2005
Last year the Jurtschitsch estate was awarded many medals and received high valuation again. Praise for the clear, fruitful and complex wine came from all over the world!

Top Ratings from Gault Millau / Austria
The Austrian Gault Millau Guide 2006 awarded the Jurtschitsch estate 17 points (white wines), 17 points (sweet wines) and 16 points (red wines) a rather rare result for an overall high achievement in all three categories. Thus the Jurtschitsch estate also achieved the highest overall total in the Kamptal!
Six Gold Medals
In international competitions in Japan, Russia, Austria and Germany our wines could achieve an overall total of six gold medals; two of which (Japan and Russia) were won by the Grüner Veltliner Spiegel Reserve 2003: a complex and full-bodied wine still displaying elegant fruit components. It evidently impressed the members of the jury in Tokyo and Moscow sustainably. The testers in the US magazine Wine Spectator assigned 90 scores to this wine.
Success is not a matter of chance
”We constantly work hard and uncompromisingly to enhance the quality of our wines. This is done by careful cultivation and strict selection at all stages of production: starting from the work done in the vineyards, the vintage, vinification to storage and bottling”, explains Paul Jurtschitsch the basis for the huge praise received for the quality of the wine from all over the world. ”It is very nice and safisfying that this additional amount of work is identifiable and tastable for the expert!”

“The Jurtschitsch Schenkenbichl Grüner Veltliner 2001 is a wine I've tasted and written about in a previous vintage. It is one of the finest Austrian wines I have tasted...The Jurtschitsch is full-bodied and has the weight and character of top Burgundy (different flavours, of course)...This Jurtschitsch wine is simply magnificent. ... Next time you have a very special occassion, give serious thought to serving this wonderful wine”. (Malcolm Anderson)
