The family estate Jurtschitsch presents its 19th GrüVe® - in Linz.

GrueVe 2005

GrüVe® is the name of the lightest and most lively Grüner Veltliner of the family estate Jurtschitsch in Langenlois and for almost two decades this wine has been on top of the hitlist of the most asked for Austrian wines. Its 2005-edition has already been released.

On Monday, 5th December the latest vintage of the "GrüVe" was presented in the Klosterhof in Linz. The Jurtschitsch family celebrated this year's launch of its evergreen together with owners of wine shops, connoisseurs and restaurateurs.

"GrüVe-Smile" - that's how Christian Ludwig Attersee subtitled his artwork on this year's GrüVe®. The artist`s personal interpretation of the GrüVe® 2005 displays light but still warm shades of yellow representing its fruitiness. It seems as if the lighthearted wine wants to leap from its goblet and allows the epicure a cheerfully placid moment of hedonism.

The GrüVe® perfectly well demonstrates the advantages of the vintage 2005:

"Just our careful selection of grapes allows the GrüVe to display its strengths this year again in perfect harmony," explains Paul Jurtschitsch. The 19th GrüVe impresses with light, clear fruit, fine aromas and a balanced palate, drenched by a lighthearted acidity texture. Fragrances of citrus fruits, fresh basil and fine mint interweave with a touch of pepper, which gives the wine its typical character.

After a good period of bloom springtime and autumn were rather too humid and relatively chilly. Only at the beginning of the main vintage-time splendid weather and ideal vintage conditions dominated. Due to its slim body and distinctive, spicy finish the GrüVe® is an ideal appetizer to set up the palate and a charming companion for tender meals like fish- or poultry dishes.
